Located in the Sutherland Shire we have an opportunity for a reel repair technician to join the service team in our fishing division. Use your mechanical mind and problem-solving abilities to service and repair sometimes complex reel issues. 

What is the role?

On a day to day basis your tasks will include;

  • Servicing and repairing reels to the highest possible standard
  • Identifying reel faults and failures and assist others in identifying and repairing them
  • Contribute to and liaise with spare parts when required parts are not in stock or are no longer available
  • To work together as a team to meet minimum turnaround times for reel repairs 
  • Ensure data integrity to assist in stock level management for spare parts.
  • To assist in picking / packing of spare parts orders if spare parts assistant is absent from work.
  • To assist in rolling stock takes of parts.
  • To assist sales in prepping (pre servicing and spooling up) reels for sponsored anglers and charter boats. 
  • To provide customers with required information about upgrading parts to their reels when requested.

What are we looking for?

To be considered for the role, we would expect….

  • Previous trade qualifications and or mechanically minded
  • Ability to read schematics and problem solve issues
  • A whiz with hand tools  
  • A can do attitude and a definite team player
  • Computer literate 
  • Sensational phone manner with a customer centric attitude
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in fishing and servicing of reels a definite advantage
