Planning Team Assistant

What is this role about?
We are seeking a switched on, progressive and organised administrator to join our planning division, who also has a keen and current interest in all things fishing.  You will enjoy working within a dynamic and enthusiastic team who is integral in bringing rods, reels and LSG products to the Australian market.

What you will be doing?
Your key responsibilities will be, but not limited to the following.

  • Daily Reporting on excel
  • Manipulating, analysing and presenting data
  • Liaising daily with overseas factories regarding order status, QC, returns, samples, and orders
  • Assisting the Product, Marketing & Planning team to prompt sales on cyclical repeat orders with customers
  • Create, Maintain and initiate spec sheets for product
  • Review samples of new products
  • Assist to prepare forecasting and forward planning for new ranges
  • Create power point presentations for key events and shows
  • Attend customer events and trade shows throughout the year or as required
  • Assist with the brainstorming and planning of new product development
  • Take general enquiries from website and consumers with regard to products
  • Monitor sales history to ascertain product trends and new product potential.
  • Duties as required to assist the Planning Team

What are we looking for?
To be considered for the role the successful applicant will have excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills. Without doubt you will have advanced Microsoft Office suite, with proven experience creating advanced spreadsheets in excel. Exposure to ERP systems and report writing and or buying /purchase exposure will be beneficial. Fishing Industry Knowledge and exposure or familiarity with Shimano products a must.

Key Account Manager

What you will be doing?
Your key responsibilities will be, but not limited to the following.

  • As the Key account Manager you will work alongside the NSM IFD/Group to ensure the National Sales Team continues to maintain high productivity, efficiency and meeting of Shimano Customer expectations
  • Build and increase sales by developing and strategizing new business opportunities across a variety of dealer/retailer channels
  • Manage key accounts and aid all Sales Representatives with top 20 Accounts in Each Territory
  • Provide assistance in the management of key Banner Groups in the Independent Dealer Network, including Promotional Calendars, Banner Group Conferences and Dealer training
  • Work with NSM on budgets, forecasting, phasing by channel, by customer
  • Support and assist in the organisation of stands / people / logistics for retail tackle shows as required
  • Provide support to all sales Representatives

We are looking for?

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years sales success within a similar role preferably as an account manager or field manager- hungry to hunt and close new sales opportunities
  • Industry Knowledge in lifestyle recreational products/wholesale is favourable
  • Solid experience in sales forecasting and creation of sales budgets mandatory
  • Understanding supply chain management
  • Commercially astute and customer focused
  • Great communication, negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • A Passionate professional ready to give anything a go
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel and Power Point
