Shimano Snowtech Steps-in on Mt Buller Consumer Demo
On July 22-23 Shimano Australia and Shimano Snow Technologies headed down to Mt Buller VIC to take part in the second consumer on snow demo of the season organized by Australian Snowboarder Magazine. Once again expectations were high as everyone had been waiting to see and ride Accublade the new step-in system from Shimano and they weren’t disappointed.
“Accublade” made a huge impact at this demo; everyone who rode the new step-in system was blown away by the binding performance, boot comfort and the overall high quality of the whole system. It really seams like Accublade is what everyone’s been waiting for.
Other Shimano products that were on offer to demo included the Shimano Free Sole boots. These have all the technical benefits of the Accublade boots but can be used with any conventional binding. We also provided a taste of what’s on offer for 2007 with a working sample if the Accublade compatible Carbon Snow Shoe. This Snow Shoe has been engineered with comfort and ease in mind. The carbon construction is the light weight and durable, while the Accublade binding mount allows you to just step-in and go. This combination will take backcountry snowboarding to a whole new level.
This isn’t the end of Shimano Snow Techs activities for this season, next Shimano Japan Pro team rider Junji Kobayashi is coming down under to ride in the Falls Creek Big Air Competition August 19. It’s bound to be a great event, so if you want to see exactly how awesome the Accublade Step-in system is we suggest you come along and “Check It Out”.
