Offshore Fishing
While offshore rods are usually designed with a specific fishing technique in mind, the good ones are versatile enough to be able to cover all the bases at a moment’s notice — from pitching a livie at a tailing striped marlin or sailfish, throwing a stickbait at a pod of black-backed giant trevally patrolling a coral ledge, dropping jigs on the heads of schooled up kingies, or even indulging in a spot of snapper fishing when the pelagics won’t come out to play.

And whether you prefer threadlines or overheads to get your offshore fishing jollies, Shimano has a rod for you.

The TCurve Deep Jig, TCurve Bluewater and TCurve Revolution Offshore rod series make offshore sportfishing a dream. They all feature Shimano’s exclusive TC3 blanks, which makes them stronger, lighter, but with plenty of power in reserve, the actions are designed to fish their chosen line classes (whether mono or braid) to the limit, and the fittings are first class.

Then we have the all-new Terez range, specially designed for use with Power Pro braid, where the white TC4 blanks have a four ply graphite weave, giving them greater strength, but remaining incredibly light and responsive at the same time. This means that smaller Shimano threadline and overhead reels can be used, making long fights less tiring and therefore more enjoyable.

Terez

Shimano's Terez range of rods are at the top of their class when it comes to offshore fishing. The range features unique components and a design that provides incredible power for the weight of the rods.
The range includes sixteen models suitable for offshore fishing, which means that you are going to be able to find a rod to suit any style or situation.

TCurve Bluewater

Beastmaster

Catana

These rods are every bit as sharp as the swords they were named after. Graphite blanks, Fuji guides and graphite reel seats are a feature, with cork grips on the lighter rods and hard-wearing EVA on the bigger outfits. Whether you spin for trout, troll for barra, flick Squidgies for snapper, or surf fish for salmon, there's a rod here to suit, and the deep purple blanks look absolutely sensational.

Eclipse

This is a big rod range, perfect for newcomers to fishing. They're high on performance and quality, but not necessarily on price.

Lipstix

These days more and more ladies are heading out on the water and dropping a line. This series of rods were designed specifically for the growing army of female anglers.
