The Shimano Rarenium is a range of reels that constructed entirely of CI4, which is a graphite carbon fibre composite material. This makes the range incredibly light but also incredible durable. The Rarenium comes in a vast number of sizes included two models which a set to become popular amongst lure casting saltwater fishing fans.

Thee 400 and 5000 sizes’ are incredibly light considering the amount of line capacity each model can spool. They also feature E.I. Shimano’s anti corrosive finish which makes them built to handle harsh salt water conditions. The models also feature an AR-C Spool lip design, which means that they are designed to a long casting spin reel, suitable for longer casts over reefs or other marine structures.

The two larger sizes in the range can hold up to 240m of 15kg braid, so they are sure to be able to handle larger offshore fish species.
