Shimano will again be sponsoring many road racing, MTB and BMX teams and riders this season. And remember that many other teams and riders are being sponsored by Shimano's national distributors as well. We believe in sponsoring not just as a means of promoting cycling sports but also because of the direct and intensive exchanges with professional athletes themselves. We channel their experiences into product development so that ultimately all cyclists benefit from our sponsoring activities. We anticipate an exciting season!

Presenting sponsor of the UCI
One again in 2007, Shimano will be presenting sponsor of the UCI. This means that Shimano is the official provider of technical service at the UCI World Championships in mountain biking, road racing, track racing and cyclo cross. Shimano is looking forward to this exciting task and will be glad to provide all the advice and practical help required.
UCI Mountainbike World Cup 2007 presented by Shimano
Shimano became the presenting sponsor of the UCI Mountainbike World Cup last year and will be acting in the same capacity again in 2007. Shimano will not just be presenting the event as such but will also be the exclusive provider of independent technical service at the races in the World Cup series andat the World Championships.
Already last year, Shimano was able to profit from this partnership by establishing additional close contacts with individual contestants, whole teams and also with many enthusiastic spectators, and so was able to receive many feedback on products and developments. And Shimano will certainly make use of this renewed opportunity to present the company and its products to an international audience.
