Canadian Marie Helene Premont (Rocky Mountain / Business Objects) has won the final world cup cross country race for 2006 in Schladming, Austria.
She beat world champion Gunn-Rita Dahle by no more than a few seconds. Premont: "I'm really happy with my race today. I didn't know how strong I would be since I hardly slept at all last night due to jet-lag."
Premont was riding the full Shimano XTR groupset (DCL version), including the new disc brake wheels WH-M975. Another success for these components that will be available in the market from October 2006.
