The new hub dynamo DH-2R30-E is a 2.4W model that is compatible with Shimano’s Hub Roller Brakes. It has 25% less rotating torque than Shimano’s HB-NX60 when the light is switched off. Furthermore, this hub dynamo has an increased durability thanks to an improved cup and cone system and a better sealing mechanism.
This hub dynamo already meets the WEEE and RoHS regulations that will be effective in the European Union from August 2005 (WEEE) and July 2006 (RoHS):
WEEE: Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment. This regulation describes the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
RoHS: Restriction on Hazardous Substances. This regulation will prohibit the use of several elements als such as Lead, Mercury and Chromium in electrical and electronical equipment.
This 2.4W hub dynamo incorporates the latest Shimano technologies for excellent performance and is developed with future EU regulations in mind.
